Image
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt‘s romantic relationship might be over, but that hasn’t stopped the duo from putting on a united front — at least when it comes to the business side of things. The Hollywood pair, who own a $60 million chateau in France together, have just launched their own bottles of olive oil direct from their French estate. According to Vanity Fair, ‘Chateau Miraval’ already produces the award-winning Miraval rosé wine, so it makes sense that Jolie and Pitt would want to further exploit the rich soil and foray into olive oil. Nous vous présentons aujourd'hui, l'Huile d'Olive Miraval. Pleased to introduce you Miraval Olive Oil. #miraval #provence If you think the news is slightly bizarre, rest assured the couple appear to be maintaining their business relationship for the sake of their children.   “Miraval is an investment for their family and their children,” Charles Perrin, the

“I Did This Since He Could Not Sexually Satisfy Me”

A Disappointed Lagos Based Housewife Narrated Her Story I had dinner with my lawyer friend recently and our discussion took us to how the rate of divorce is drastically increasing in Nigeria.  The most shocking part of that discussion was when she told me the reason for many of these divorces.  She said in 3 months, she had close to 9 divorce cases and 7 of them were because THEIR PARTNERS COULD NOT SATISFY THEM SEXUALLY and 1 case was because THEY BOTH WERE NOT COMPATIBLE  ENOUGH TO BEAR CHILDREN.  She went on to add that, ‘do you know that many Nigerian women actually forgive their men for cheating on them and continue in the marriage, but almost No woman can survive sexual frustration for a long time?’. One of her clients who came to her for help and narrowly escaped divorce is a Lagos housewife by the name Chioma and here is her story in her own words.  “We have been married for 7 years and I was nursing a pain which eventually turned my marriage sour. I and my husband

She wrote, “FFK is my spokesman. All media to contact him. I am in Port Harcourt prison. “Driven here Tuesday on orders of the IG. David Ibiyeomie of Salvation ministries says I defamed him because I posted a letter a church member sent me alleging corruption and adultery with Iyabo Ojo. “Both newsmakers will not confirm or deny the allegations. Amnesty International: We will take Buhari to court, if mob attack is not stopped – SERAP

Image
Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has threatened to sue the Presidency headed by Muhammadu Buhari, unless necessary measures are taken immediately to end the mob attack on Amnesty International or any other civil society group in the country. The group made this threat in a statement issued on Tuesday and signed by its Deputy Director, Timothy Adewale. This follows the ultimatum given by protesters who stormed the Abuja office of Amnesty International, demanding the international organisation to quit Nigeria within 24 hours. According to SERAP, President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo need to speak out strongly against intimidation and harassment of Amnesty International Office in Nigeria and its staff or leave the group with no option but to take appropriate legal actions nationally and internationally including approaching the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights defenders for a remedy. 2,600 Nigerians ‘Fleeing Boko Haram’ Expelled From Cameroon

More than 2,600 Nigerians who fled into northern Cameroon to escape Boko Haram jihadists have been forced to go home since the start of the year, the UN said Tuesday. Thousands of Nigerians have been displaced by the Boko Haram insurgency, which has seen deadly attacks since 2009 in pursuit of a caliphate in northern Nigeria. Some 85,000 have sought refuge in Cameroon but the UN refugee agency said many had been sent back, with officials citing security reasons. “So far this year, Cameroon has forcefully returned over 2,600 refugees to Nigerian border villages against their will,” UNHCR spokesman Babar Baloch told reporters in Geneva. He said UNHCR staff in Nigeria had heard and documented accounts about Cameroon troops forcing refugees to return to Nigeria, “without allowing them time to collect their belongings.” Baloch pointed to a case where refugees were rounded up during a military offensive against Boko Haram insurgents in the Mandara Mountains on the Camerooni
