NYPD police wrongly detain Wyclef in search of armed robber

Popular singer, Wyclef Jean has revealed how he was briefly detained by officers of the Los Angeles Police Department who were searching for a criminal. Writing on his Instagram, the former Fugees singer said he was accosted by the officers who ordered him out of his car and then proceeded to cuff him. “I was asked by the police to Put my hands up. Then I was told do not move. I was instantly handcuffed before being asked to identify myself,” he tweeted today. The Diallo singer continued, “In the process, I said my name and told them they have the wrong person. They proceeded to ignore me and I was treated like a criminal until other police showed up and pointed out they had [the] wrong person. I was asked by the police to Put my hands up.
